Led by Wiss, Janney, Elster (WJE) Associates, based in Pasadena, the project required a considerable amount of detective work to properly restore the original grandeur of the
110 year old US Grant Hotel.
"There was no such thing as color photography back when the hotel was built, so figuring out something as simple as what color to paint the building took some doing." said Doug Kron,
the hotel's General Manager.
Kelly Sutherlin Mcleod Architecture designed the paint color scheme, with Hamilton Pacific Inc., based in Carlsbad, as the General Contractor.
